They are especially useful at higher cruising speeds where they help to identify hazards and signs long before they would been seen by high beams only. All Driving lamps are extremely bright and must be dimmed with high beams. PIAA's 004X Xtreme White Series Driving Lights provides a brilliant Xtreme cool white light, which is the closest color yet to H.I.D. (High Intensity Discharge).
This kit with the black housing (pn 0460) uses a standard PIAA 55 watt halogen bulb.
